Sierra Valley

Surrounded by mountains, Sierra Valley is the largest sub-alpine meadow in North America. Its sagebrush, wetland meadows sit below Beckworth Pass in the northern Sierra Nevada, California. As a member of the Feather River Land Trust, which helps preserve the wetlands and ranching way of life there, I spend considerable time canoeing, birding and drawing in this beautiful environment.
